I was about to buy a induction 4 hotplate but the cost was out of my budget, then I discovered this portable hotplate, so I bought 2 at a fraction of the cost of a 4 hotplate, I can use the 2 at the same time if I need to, it is very versatile I can use it on any bench in my kitchen, also can be used outdoors, the benefit for me was cost and it didn't need hard wiring, can be plugged in to a normal socket, and stored when not in use. Great product would recommend for home use and caravaning.

Not the worlds best chef, so love the timer feature, not so easy to create burnt offerings. Being able to change the temperature instantly is also great. But really impressed with the pre-programmed settings that change the temperatures and controls the cooking for you. Probably the best feature is less heat in the kitchen and when things spill over they don't get burnt onto the cook top, so much easier to keep clean.

My wife talked me out in buying this product but I always know Philips make very good products. after buying, my partner loves it due its efficiency and easy-to-use menu. "Don't judge a book by its colour" I said to my partner. I recommend this product to anyone.

Now the negative reviews on this in here I think the same people would have the same problems turning on a light bulb. Phillips induction cooker has been great I use every day sometimes 2 daily the power settings give full control over cooking without burning food. I loved the boil setting I put a pot with a steamer on and put all the veggies in and just press boil and when it beeps they are cooked perfectly no having to check. Unfortunately after 2+ years could be more the fan has picked up a wobble and vibration when cold it does come right if I turn it of and back on but I have now put it away as a back up and brought myself a more cost efficient model. I would of thought that the fan would last longer but still a good cooker hence 5 Stars.

Compact, powerful and fast ! Intuitive cooking menus ! The rest is a balance of cooking experience, adequate use and product reliability. Time will say ! Another useful product from Philips ! P.S. A more explicit and bigger printed user manual packed with a cooking book will be a plus.

This is a great appliance once you ubderstanf how to use it. The only problem is the easy to read display is very hard to read. It is far from bright enough. An updated display would make this unit perfect.

I bought this product one day ago, everything was ok until I looked for a basic menu broacher/leaflet to help me understand the cooking procedure. I am not referring to "How does induction work" most people would understand that. But when it comes to procedure to achieve results, WHERE ARE THE INSTRUCTIONS? The documentation should include a basic recipe for each of the functions. Looking for recipes and procedures is what brought me to this page. SO, Talk to the documentation producers, and get some top chefs recipes to be included in your product box, even as a CD or DVD would be appreciated. This would give us all a better understanding of how to use it and how to get good results in transferring our knowledge from Electric/Gas cooking to Induction Cooking. Thank you.

The induction cooker is my second appliance of this type. I found it more complicated to learn its functionality than its predecessor which was made by another company. Its system of operation needs more thought put into how it operates. That was the major flaw. In other words, its designers need to simplify the overall procedure. Or, perhaps, the instructions in the accompanying manual might be re-written in a more simplified manner.

while cooking there was a spark on the right corner and now it not working no power turn on ,please help
