OLED4K AMBILIGHT tv

This is a next level OLED television. The Ambi Light feature sets it apart from other OLED televisions by making the wall behind the television part of the viewing experience.

I have recently renewed my circa 5 years old TV and I am glad I have chosen Philips OLED as it is a significant upgrade. When I opened the box, I was very surprised to find the screen so thin. It is like a sheet of metal and I end up checking the manual to find out how to pull it out of the box as there is not much to grab. Also the frame surrounding the display is very narrow. The picture the screen produces is amazing.The brightness, the colours, the blackness and the details are so good. It even detects how bright or dark the room is and adjusts all the necessary settings to keep the display in balance. I am amazed by the Ambilight! It is astonishing. It adds so much more to the watching TV experience. It is like indirectly adding another layer to the picture. And with settings allowing you to choose your wall colour, it works not only on a white painted wall. My only struggle is to press with my big fingers the right button on the main cluster on the remote control as they are placed a little bit too close to each other. #Reviewclub

It’s been a while since I’ve bought a TV. In fact I tend to only buy one when upgrading my games console. The last one was a Samsung 55” 4K LED for my Xbox One X. It served its purpose that’s for sure. However once my Xbox Series X arrived I yearned for HDMI 2.1 to get the 120hz refresh rate. I’d also previously kept away from OLED given these screens were more expensive. Granted the picture was so much better and the blacks true and dark but my budget couldn’t really stretch to that. Then with LED lighting becoming more apparent and almost a requirement of any decent gaming space when the time to get a new TV came it was hard to look past Phillips Ambilight with OLED screen. Suffice to say I have not been disappointed. Whilst still a tad more expensive than a typical LED the value for this OLED is going to be hard to be bettered. Especially for gaming. I’m super happy with it.

I have always wanted a Philips Ambilight TV as it’s the future of Television viewing. The Ambilight adds an extremely big WOW factor to watching TV . The Led lights illuminate the living room wall and it looks fantastic, Watching movies is awesome. The OLED picture quality is certainly a step up from normal TV quality. The Dolby Atmos sound is superb. The gamers like it as it’s got 120Hz to smooth the picture flow. There are 4 HDMI ports. It looks stylish and most importantly is the cost. Compared to other brands of similar size the Philips 65OLED759/12 when considering its Ambilight for me come in at No1. It’s a great TV and everyone who saw it has been impressed with it.

First OLED TV, price to performance is ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Best purchase ever, ambilight is sooo good.

I love this TV as it is easy to navigate and the picture quality are top notch . The Ambilight is so soothing and the picture Resolution are sharp yet not overwhelming .

The Philips 48OLED759/12 is a well-built TV that has made a visible improvement in the picture quality from our set-top box. The OLED ensures deep blacks, vibrant colors, and an overall immersive viewing experience. The TV has a compact stand making it easy to fit onto smaller TV tables, which is a practical. While the TV offers decent audio output, the sound can sometimes feel too deep and hard to understand, particularly in dialogue-heavy videos. An external sound system or soundbar may be needed. Philips' signature Ambilight feature is present, though its impact seems more effective when the TV is wall-mounted. For those using a TV stand, the effect may not be as immersive as expected. One of the strong points of this TV is the good number of HDMI and USB ports, ensuring easy connectivity for external devices such as gaming consoles, sound systems, and media players. Unfortunately a few things let it down. No instructions on the TV and the online guide can be hard to navigate. The TVs EPG (TV Guide) isn't the easiest to understand or read. No facility to record onto to USB or pause live TV. I haven't owned a Philips for a number of years, but i am pleasantly surprised with the build and picture quality. The shortfalls would not disuade me from buying another in the future.

I recently switched from a projector to the Philips Ambilight TV, and here’s my take: The display is stunning, with colours that pop and brightness that’s perfect for those cozy nights when you just want to stream without the projector’s fan sounding like a lawnmower. The Ambilight feature is a bit of a mixed bag. During movies, I find it a bit distracting, so I usually switch it off. But it’s a lifesaver when I’m watching TV until late. After turning off the TV, it illuminates the room with a soft, diffused light, helping me find my way out without stubbing my toe. Bonus points for turning itself off after 30 minutes, so I don’t have to ask Alexa to do it for me. Connectivity? No issues here. With plenty of ports and a 1GB LAN, it’s absolutely brilliant to address any patchy or unstable WiFi signal during streaming. The UI is okay, but don’t expect too much. If you’re into apps like AppleTV or Plex, you’ll need to bring your own party with an additional device. Sound-wise, it’s decent, but if you’ve got anything underneath the TV, like a mantel, it’s like the sound is muffled. A soundbar might be a good option to go with. Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase. It’s on the pricier side, but as Matt Watson would say, it’s definitely worth “shortlisting”.

What a great tv. The picture quality is beautiful and the light feature on the tv is wow. It is such a game changer! I love watching tv with this feature. This tv is easy to use. Everything you require and all the required app are included on the tv. This tv got everything you need and more!!

I’m always a bit nervous buying something expensive online, But it arrived well packed in polystyrene and cardboard. And the box was easy to open and remove the TV. On the top of the polystyrene were the remote control, cables and some instructions. It was good to see the remote packed in a paper bag rather than plastic, but sadly the cables were still in plastic bags. The fact the remote was packed in paper shows it can be done. I was very disappointed to see that the instructions were a sheet of paper with the basic connection details and a QR code for full instructions. When I’m learning to use a new TV I don’t want to be balancing my phone in one had and the remote in the other trying to work out how to do something. Strange as the warranty and safety instructions are available in every language and 170 pages! This TV has the Ambilight system on it which creates a glow behind the TV. The colours change according to background colour of the screen. I found it a bit slow to respond to the colours on the screen at times and personally I don’t see the point in it, but it is growing on me slowly. The apps on this TV are pre loaded, you can’t search a store to download what you want. They have the most common Apps, plus some I have never heard of! So I cannot get Discovery+ or Now tv which are 2 apps far more important to me than a lot of the other ones. Had I known this I wouldn’t have bought this TV, So disappointed. This is my first OLED TV and the picture is really good. Clear crisp picture and the definition between colours and dark areas is amazing. I have played around with the settings a little bit and the picture is so clear, the colours really pop.
